Scholarship Description

In support of the FIRST mission, Merrimack College is offering up to ten, merit‐based scholarships, each for $5,000, to high school seniors who have participated on a FIRST team during their school career. This scholarship must be utilized by students studying in the School of Engineering & Computational Sciences at Merrimack College. The scholarship is renewable up to a total of $20,000 over four years contingent upon majoring within the School of Engineering & Computational Sciences, as well as maintaining good academic standing and the Dean’s recommendation. Each recipient must meet the regular academic requirements for admission to Merrimack College’s School of Engineering & Computational Sciences.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

Be a senior in high school
Have participated on a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) or a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team
Apply and be admitted to Merrimack College as a full time student (However, please note that you do not need to have already been admitted at the time you apply for this scholarship).
Apply to a major within the School of Engineering & Computational Sciences

FIRST Mentor Information

If your FIRST mentor would prefer to submit the recommendation to us directly, it can be emailed to admission@merrimack.edu. Submitting a recommendation is an optional part of the FIRST Scholarship Application.
