    FIRST Robotics Scholarship Application

    Scholarship Description

    In support of the FIRST mission, Merrimack College is offering up to ten, merit‐based scholarships, each for $5,000, to high school seniors who have participated on a FIRST team during their school career. This scholarship must be utilized by students studying in the School of Engineering & Computational Sciences at Merrimack College. The scholarship is renewable up to a total of $20,000 over four years contingent upon majoring within the School of Engineering & Computational Sciences, as well as maintaining good academic standing and the Dean’s recommendation. Each recipient must meet the regular academic requirements for admission to Merrimack College’s School of Engineering & Computational Sciences.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
    • Be a senior in high school
    • Have participated on a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) or a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team
    • Apply and be admitted to Merrimack College as a full time student (However, please note that you do not need to have already been admitted at the time you apply for this scholarship).
    • Apply to a major within the School of Engineering & Computational Sciences
    Deadline

    Your FIRST Scholarship Application and supporting materials must be submitted no later than March 15th.

    If you would like to submit an optional letter of recommendation from your FIRST mentor, you can upload a copy below. If your FIRST mentor would prefer to submit the recommendation to us directly, it can be emailed to admission@merrimack.edu. Submitting a recommendation is an optional part of the FIRST Scholarship Application.
